LOCAL ATTRACTIONS - Lorsens on the River, Shoalhaven Heads

Shoalhaven Heads sits at the southern end of Seven Mile Beach and at the mouth of the beautiful Shoalhaven River. Lorsens on the River is ideally situated close to both the beach and river for swimming, surfing, fishing and sailing. It is a great place to use as a base to discover all the other exciting things you can do in the Shoalhaven region. Along with some of the best surfing, visitors can enjoy kite flying, golf on the all weather 16 hole golf course, bush walking in the Seven Mile National Park or visit one of the many wineries in the area.  The historic town of Berry is only 10km away and beautiful Kangaroo Valley is a pleasant 15 minute drive through Berry and over the hills.

GOLF: Lorsens on the River is the ideal place if you want to play golf.  With 3 golf courses within 10 minutes of the Park you have many choices.  A further 3 courses are within 30 minutes of the Park.

 Dolphin & Whale Watching - Why not take a drive to Jervis Bay and take in a dophin watch cruise or during the months of June-July & mid September-mid November go whale watching.

Visitors can get up close to over 35 aircraft at Australia's Museum of Flight. The Museum's hangar full of history takes a journey from the first flight in Australia, past the invention of the jet engine to modern military aircraft and flyable planes only recently decommissioned.

Seven Mile National Park:  Only a 5 minute drive & you are in the midst of the National Park.  Inhabited by birds, possums & small mammals. Many walks available.
Fitzroy Falls:  Drive thru the historic town of Kangaroo Valley & visit the falls.  An easy walk for all ages.
Minnamurra Rainforest:  A subtropical rainforest situated at the foot of the coastal escarpment just south of Wollongong.  A 30 minute drive from Lorsens.
